How to Submit a Copyright Takedown Notice

To be effective under the DMCA (17 U.S.C. § 512(c)(3)), your notice should include:

• Your physical or electronic signature.
• Identification of the copyrighted work you claim has been infringed.
• Identification of the material you claim is infringing, including enough information for us to locate it (such as the URL or title of the submission).
• Your contact information, including name, mailing address, phone number, and email address.
• A statement that you have a good-faith belief that the disputed use is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law.
• A statement that the information in your notice is accurate and, under penalty of perjury, that you are the copyright owner or authorized to act on behalf of the copyright owner.

If your notice is incomplete, we may ask for more information before taking action.

What Happens After We Receive a Notice

When we receive a compliant DMCA notice, we may remove or disable access to the allegedly infringing content and notify the user who submitted it. We may also remove thumbnails, previews, clips, fighter pages, promo cards, or related media connected to the reported content.

Submission removal does not necessarily mean the user did anything wrong. It means we received a copyright complaint that triggered our review process.

Counter-Notice

If you believe your content was removed by mistake or misidentification, you may submit a counter-notice. A counter-notice should include:

• Your physical or electronic signature.
• Identification of the material that was removed or disabled and where it appeared before removal.
• A statement under penalty of perjury that you have a good-faith belief the material was removed or disabled because of mistake or misidentification.
• Your name, address, phone number, and a statement that you consent to the jurisdiction of the appropriate federal court and will accept service of process from the person who submitted the original DMCA notice or their agent.

After receiving a valid counter-notice, we may restore the removed material within the timeframe allowed by law (generally not less than 10 and not more than 14 business days) unless the original complaining party notifies us that they have filed a court action seeking to prevent restoration.

Repeat Infringer Policy

PuppetFight.com may suspend or terminate users who repeatedly upload infringing content or repeatedly violate our intellectual property rules. We may also block repeat submissions of the same removed material, limit upload privileges, remove fighter profiles, or restrict account access.

False Claims

Knowingly submitting false or misleading copyright complaints or counter-notices can have legal consequences. Do not submit a DMCA notice unless you are the copyright owner or authorized to act on behalf of the copyright owner.
